TIAMAT Utilizing Former THERION Guitarist For Russian Dates
November 11, 2008Bassist Anders Iwers of long-running Swedish metallers TIAMAT has sent the following update to BLABBERMOUTH.NET:
"We're going to Russia on Thursday [November 13] for a seven-show tour that'll take us to Sibiria for the first time. Should be a lot of fun! We'll be playing our longest set yet! A European tour is also confirmed, but not yet fully booked. Official, confirmed dates can be found at www.myspace.com/tiamat.
"[TIAMAT's latest album] 'Amanethes' is still selling well, especially in Sweden where we have been enjoying our first Top 20 spot in the charts, topping at a respectable No. 13!
"We have lost our brother, guitar player Thomas Wyreson, aka AD Lord, to domestic life and for the Russian tour his shoes will be filled by Johan Nieman, formerly of THERION. We'll see what happens in the future."
Century Media Records recently released a limited-edition collector's box from Swedish metallers TIAMAT entitled "The Ark of the Covenant - The Complete Century Media Years". Limited to 3,000 copies worldwide, this noble box set also includes two exclusive audio CDs, a numbered authenticity certificate, as well as a comprehensive 74-page booklet with all lyrics, terrific artwork, rare photos and extensive liner notes by Anders Iwers.
